Malota, Jr. – Theodore M. “Ted”
9/25/1947 – 5/5/2024
Age 76 of Hamburg, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 5, 2024. He is survived by his beloved
wife of 44 years, Doraine M. (nee Scheetz) Malota; four loving siblings, Pattie (Fred) Kaminski,
Rosemary (Michael) Stratton, Barbara Donohue and Joseph Malota; dear sister-in-laws Donna Mae
(Richard) Rusert , Rosemary (Robert) King and brother-in-law Gerald (late Janet Anne) Magill and many
nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Ted is predeceased by his parents Theodore M. and
Anne E. (nee Lutz) Malota, Sr.
Ted graduated from Burgard Vocational High School in 1965. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War.
He worked as a diesel mechanic for the South
Buffalo Railway in Lackawanna, NY, retiring in 2004.Ted loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman, and hunter.
He also ran a business that specialized in making fishing tackle and lures.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in Ted’s memory may be made to St.
Jude at stjude.org or to the Patricia Allen Fund benefitting John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital at
