I had planned on going to lunch with Marie when I returned from Hawai'i. I am so glad that I spoke with her before I left, and of course she made me laugh. She said she was still working, just feeling "a little tired." I am sad that I didn't get see her before she went on her spiritual journey to be with God...and Robert.
One of the best times with Marie and Bob, was when my late husband and I went, Marie and "Bob," went to the casino in Niagara Falls to play the slots. They played the penny machines and often won, often jackpots! So off we go... We had a great dinner and lost money...but Bob and Marie won! We had a fantastic time. Those two were so funny together.
Marie was an inspiration to me, expecially when Ron died. She was positive, kept working, and so very kind. She was also practical. No one would ever know her age, because she was a youngster at heart.
Candy, thank you so much for letting me know. I am due to arrive home on the third, in time to pay my respects. You have been a dear and much help over the years. I pray blessings over you and your family. I know your mom is in the greatest hands of all.
Love, Cherie S.
