We were so very sad to hear about Marie. She was always so kind and generous, I remember when I used to plow, even though I was all paid up she’d still get me. Tim’s gift card after a big storm. She always invited me and my now wife to the company Christmas parties. We had at great time at the casino downtown. My wife adored her as well. Marie will truly be missed by all. I am so sorry to hear that Marie passed away. I am also at Western Surety and have worked with Marie for many many years. It was always so great to hear her voice, and it was a real pleasure to work with her. She touched many lives way out in South Dakota over the years. Although we never met in person, I really mourn the loss of a friend. Your family is in my prayers.

So sorry to hear this. I am a long-term employee of CNA Surety and have spoken to Marie often. She was a ray of sunshine and could make me laugh even about liquor bonds. She will be missed even in South Dakota by many. Prayers to her family and friends, she was one neat lady. Denise Haertel

I had planned on going to lunch with Marie when I returned from Hawai'i. I am so glad that I spoke with her before I left, and of course she made me laugh. She said she was still working, just feeling "a little tired." I am sad that I didn't get see her before she went on her spiritual journey to be with God...and Robert. One of the best times with Marie and Bob, was when my late husband and I went, Marie and "Bob," went to the casino in Niagara Falls to play the slots. They played the penny machines and often won, often jackpots! So off we go... We had a great dinner and lost money...but Bob and Marie won! We had a fantastic time. Those two were so funny together. Marie was an inspiration to me, expecially when Ron died. She was positive, kept working, and so very kind. She was also practical. No one would ever know her age, because she was a youngster at heart. Candy, thank you so much for letting me know. I am due to arrive home on the third, in time to pay my respects. You have been a dear and much help over the years. I pray blessings over you and your family. I know your mom is in the greatest hands of all. Love, Cherie S.

I could write a novel of memories that I have for this beautiful lady. I knew her my entire childhood. Candy was one of my best lifelong friends. She was fun, funny and talented. I used to love watching her groom dogs(hundreds of them!). It just fascinated me. She helped out of binds, encouraged my endeavors and gave sound advice. Bob helped with my insurance after my awful accident when I was kid. She got me to join OES with Candy and that’s how I met Gina. Just so many memories. RIP Marie. There are lots of dogs in heaven that will need a trim. I love you! My sincere condolences to Candy and Bill and families.

She was the fun Mom! Let us get away with alot! She was a great dog groomer,with a lot of bling and had a great sense of humor, loved roses and her dogs and birds! Moonwind, Shasta get in your cage! Loved that women to pieces. She will surely be missed.
