Sanderson, Robert  L. “Bob”

Age 77 of Mt. Airy, NC, formerly of Hamburg, NY, passed away on May 16, 2023 following a long fight with MDS cancer.  Bob is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Patricia (nee Gunsher) Sanderson; dear children Robert (Tina) Sanderson and Kristina (Rob) Bourkney; cherished grandchildren Taylor (Anthony), Samantha (Josh), Jordan, Sean, and Alexis; dear great-grandchildren Thomas and Maverick; loving brother Lyle (Sharon) Sanderson, brother-in-laws Timothy (Josephine) and David (Stacey) Gunsher, sister-in-law Penny Parker; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and brother Alan Sanderson. Bob was a Navy Veteran and a long-time employee of Hopevale Inc. in Hamburg.  Please consider honoring Bob with a donation to a charity of your choice as flowers are gratefully declined.
