Frye, Jr. Randall Everett
“Randy” age 89 of Hamburg, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife of forty years, Lissa (nee Fegal) Frye; his dear children Corinne Frye, Betty Lynn Makin, Keith Frye, Jennifer Maciag, Heather Maciag, Kristin (Tom) DiJohn; loving Papa to 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; uncle to many nieces and nephews. Randy is predeceased by his parents, Randall E. and Ann (nee Teweksbury) Frye, Sr.; his loving son William Frye, and his dear sisters Barb (late Tom) Laco and Joan (late George) Shaw. Randy was proud to serve for 60 years in both the National Ski Patrol and The Hamburg Volunteer Fire Department, where he held many leadership positions. He loved working in his workshop, where he built, fixed, and created many things, including beautiful cutting boards. Randy loved spending time in the woods and skiing gracefully down any ski slope. He will be remembered for his sparkling blue-eyed smile and awesome "Papa Hugs." Calling hours will be from 3-7 PM at Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home, 21 Pierce Ave., Hamburg, NY on Wed. July 5th. A Memorial Service will be held on Thur. July 6th at the Buffalo Ski Club Upper Sitzmarker Lodge located at 7595 Lower East Hill Road, Colden, NY at 11 AM. Randy’s family is requesting that guests wear “casual picnic” attire. Flowers are gratefully declined.
