Zakowicz, Sharon M.
(nee Inskip)
Of Hamburg, Aug. 14, 2022, gone to be home with Jesus her Lord and Savior, and many family members and friends previously passed. Loving wife of James “Jim” L. Zakowicz; adoring mother of Dennis “Denny” P. Pillard Jr.; and dear sister to John W. (Kathy), Thomas W., Terri L., and Edward P. Inskip and Robin J. Concannon; cherished grandmother of three grandchildren; Jessica, Casey and Haley, and two great-grandchildren; Corbyn and Easton. She was survived by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Leslie “Bill” and Jean Inskip (nee Dorst) and her brother Warren L. Inskip. Sharon was a very active member of the Revive Wesleyan Church. There Sharon facilitated a woman’s Bible study, she was a greeter, she participated in the MOPS (Mother of Pre-School Students) program and served the congregation alongside her husband, Jim. In 1964 she graduated from Hamburg High School and later completed an Associate Degree at Bryant & Stratton College. She worked for the New York Telephone Company as an Administrative Assistant. In 1987, she married her sweetheart Jim and they were just shy of celebrating 35 years of marriage this October. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and home decorating. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sat. Aug. 27, at 11:00 AM at Revive Wesleyan Church, 4999 McKinley Pkwy, Hamburg, NY. Arrangements entrusted to the Donald M.
