Of Hamburg, NY passed away at home November 1, 2021. Linda was a proud U.S. Marine Veteran. Beloved wife of the late Alvin Sweeney; loving sister of Thomas (Belle) Dole; dear sister-in-law of Louis M. (the late Joan) Violanti; cherished aunt to many nieces & nephews. Friends may call on Thursday, Nov. 11, from 5-7 PM at the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home, 21 Pierce Ave. Hamburg. All are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at SS. Peter & Paul RC Church, 66 East Main St. Hamburg on Friday, Nov 12 at 10:30 AM.  She was a member of the Hamburg American Legion and SS Peter & Paul RC Church. She enjoyed bowling, convertibles in the summertime and loved horses and dogs, former owner of a harness racehorse and numerous lucky canine companions.  She devoted much of her life selflessly caring for family members and others in need of assistance.  Memorials in Linda’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
