Markert, John P., age 84, of Hamburg, October 13, 2014. Husband of Dorothy (nee Harvey). Father of Philip (Vickie), Kenneth (Lynn Entwisle), Grace (David) Brandt and Thomas (Karen Fine) Markert. Brother of Alan (Esther) Markert. Also survived by six grandchildren. Private services at the convenience of the family. Mr. Markert was a professional engineer with Verizon, Korean War Navy veteran and a life member of the Hamburg Rod & Gun Club and the NYS Skeet Shooting Association.
