I was honored to know and work along with Jack, at BethEnergy for the years that we worked as a team. There will never be a more true gentleman or business partner. He cared for the men from the heart. My sympathy goes out to his family. So sorry for such a great loss. Cappy

My deepest sympathy to the Lee family in Jack's passing. I met Jack in the beginning stages of the Route 62 reconstruction project. He was thorough in details, very dedicated and his provocative questioning and comments were of great value to the Rt 62 committee and eventually, Imagine Hamburg. I echo Jim Koelmel and Dale Nesemen's guest book comments; Jack was a great influence in all aspects of the success of the reconstruction throughout the village. Because of Jack's work the Village of Hamburg is once again; INVITING.

Jack was very well liked and respected by all his co-workers at Bethlehem Steel, especially his subordinates. He had an organizational talent for motivating and inspiring young workers. He helped me advance from laborer to foreman to engineer. Jack and Bob Price (from Bethlehem, PA) brought me to Chicago in 1999 to present a paper to the AISE. Thank you for sharing Jack with us. May providence be with everyone he loved and with everyone who loved him.

My deepest condolences to Jack's wife and family for your loss. Jack was a very special man and I'll never forget the many hours I spent working with him on the village road project and in Imagine:Hamburg. He was the hardest working, most dependable, most dedicated person I've ever met, but he never wanted recognition for all the things he did for Hamburg. He had a great sense of humor and a great soul. He will be missed beyond words, but the beautiful village, the roundabouts, parks, and gardens, the creek overlook and the renaissance that continues thanks in part to his hard work and dedication, will live on. He taught me a great deal and I'll miss him very much. But I won't forget him.

Jack worked tirelessly as a member and leader of Imagine:Hamburg during the reconstruction of Rt 62 and was instrumental in making the village into the beautiful place it has become. His inspiration and dedication was addicting and we will miss him terribly, but his legacy will live on in our revitalized village. Thanks, Jack, for all you did.
